On Tuesday, I gave Jonathan a bath. He has now discovered he can roll over in the tub too. It didn't take too long for him to figure out how to hold his head up when he rolled onto his stomach. At first, he just looked at the water and splashed a little using one hand at a time while the other held him up. After a while of that though, he turned over again. And again. And again. He was doing non-stop 360s going round and round on the slick surface of the tub. It was like a merry-go-round at a circus. How are you supposed to bath a rolling baby like that? It's hard. He squawks when he's stopped.
Then last night, David set Jonathan on the couch. He turned his back for a second - literally a second - while he put something down behind him. Jonathan rolled right over and onto the floor. The drop off scared the poor little guy. Mommy and Daddy were scared he was hurt. But he turned out to be just fine.
"He's so cute!"
Of course, she's talking about Jonathan (not me, as many of you probably thought). But I hear the phrase at least twice a day. Mommy sure loves her baby!
